Award-winning vocalist Cici is poised to captivate audiences once again with the release of her brand-new album, Busisiwe 2.0.

Dropping on July 29, 2025, the 14-track masterpiece fuses Afropop, Afrobeat, Gospel, and Amapiano elements.

The album represents a sonic evolution reflecting Cici’s artistry, emotional depth, and spiritual growth. It offers a rich tapestry of sounds that traverse the landscapes of African music, blending traditional influences with contemporary vibes.

Working on the album, the star has collaborated with local and international talent including Boypee (Nigeria), Naledi Aphiwe, Mimi Marz (Tanzania), Hyce (Nigeria), Zuko, Praiz (Nigeria), and Mthunzi.

Each collaborator brings their unique flavour and global energy to the project, blending sounds that speak to every corner of Africa and beyond. This adds layers of depth and diversity to Busisiwe 2.0, making it a true representation of pan-African collaboration. The body of work also represents healing, elevation, and bold expression.

In a recent interview with BONA magazine, Cici shared, “Music for me is a journey of connecting with the divine and with people. I want listeners to find pieces of themselves in Busisiwe 2.0. I poured my heart into every track, hoping that people connect with the stories, emotions, and rhythms I’ve woven together.”

Cici further emphasised the personal nature of the album, highlighting how it reflects her journey of growth and self-discovery.

Throughout her career, she has had significant achievements, including the massive success of her chart-topping single Amen, which became a national anthem.

Cici also has a string of awards and multi-platinum plaques to her name, cementing her place as one of the continent’s most powerful vocalists.

She has also touched hearts across borders, uniting people through the universal language of music.
