Ciara’s got her eye on Tyla – and we’re here for it

by Zintle Mdaka

It is no secret that the pretty girl from Joburg, Tyla Seethal, monogamously known as Tyla, has earned admiration in the entertainment industry from her hometown and internationally.

However, no one could anticipate that a powerhouse like the US singer, songwriter and dancer Ciara Wilson would one day say she could make a song with Tyla. In her interview with L’Officiel USA where she was invited to speak about her upcoming album CiCi when she was asked about an artist she could collaborate with, Ciara said if she could collaborate, she would work with Tyla because her music is infectious and she makes people dance to her music, and for her it’s really important to make people dance.

Ciara is one of the prolific artists from the US who became a household name since the 2000s, and has released iconic tunes such as Level Up, Body Party, Goodies and many others.

Judging by how much she achieved in the previous year, it’s safe to call 2024 a Tyla year. She has won multiple awards for her music, such as Grammy Awards, MTV Video awards, BET Awards, South African Music Awards (SAMA) and more. She also earned work as an ambassador for well-known brands such as the Stanley Cup and Pandora. The 23-year-old who is now based in the US has blessed her fans with chart toppers such as Water, Jump and Truth or Dare, among many others.
