Chris Q Radebe explains the delay on ‘Shut Up! Men Are Talking’

Producer, writer and actor Chris Q Radebe provided clarity on why the new episodes of his YouTube series, Shut Up! Men Are Talking have not been released.

The series has had viewers glued to their screens with only five episodes out. The sixth one is delaying because Chris is sorting out music copyright issues. Shut Up! Men Are Talking is set against the backdrop of the struggles faced by women in rural areas. The series displays misogyny against women and girls, issues such as sexual assault, shoving oppressing traditions on women and oppressive marriages.

Shut Up! Men Are Talking boasts a star-studded cast that includes Wiseman Mncube, Jo-Anne Reyneke, Thulani Mtsweni, Lungelo Mpangase, Dawn Thandeka King, Sibonile Ngubane and Zekhethelo Zondi. According to Chris, the film will take you on a rollercoaster of pure, unadulterated emotions. You will laugh, swoon, punch the wall, pull your hair out, cry, and smile with tears in your eyes. In that order too.

@chris_q_radebeVukani! Breakfast is served on YouTube. Head over and watch what has to be the most generous teaser in the history of teasers (the things I do for you though 🤦🏽‍♂️). Our film, Shut Up! Men Are Talking is almost ready. Almost. Boasting the incredible versatility of Wiseman Mncube, the indescribably rare talent of Thulani Mtsweni, the subtle brilliance of Lungelo Mpangase, and helmed by the one-take genius of the incomparable Jo-Anne Reyneke, with special appearances by the stellar Dawn Thandeka King, the heavy-hitting Sibonile Ngubane and my favourite secret weapon, Zekhethelo Zondi, the film will take you on a roller coaster of pure, unadulterated emotions. You will laugh, swoon, punch the wall, pull your hair out, cry, and smile with tears in your eyes. In that order too. Now, run to YouTube and enjoy your breakfast in bed. 😉 Shhhh! I will let you know when the film is ready for your screens. Don’t ask in front of guests, neh? Okay, go.♬ original sound – Chris Q.

The series has gained popularity on social media.

This series on YouTube is so good and presents such a sad reality for women abused by ‘cultural norms’. These things happen, unfortunately

Thank you @Chrisq_writes #ShutUpMenAreTalking is an excellent production! Waiting for episodes is going to kill me though https://t.co/qiimPWvPwM
