While all eyes are turned to Wembley Stadium, where the Springboks are set to face Japan in their end-of-year tour, the world champions have had more reasons to celebrate.
The Springboks are currently in England, where they begin preparation ahead of an exciting European end-of-year tour. For them, achieving success is crucial, as their placement in the world rankings will ultimately affect their pool in the 2027 World Cup.
Despite the pressure weighing on them, this has not stopped Rassie Erasmus and his men from honouring some other important moments.
This week, double World Cup winner Cheslin Kolbe celebrated his 32nd Birthday. Since making his debut in 2018, the rapid winger has been an integral part of the success that has come the way of the Springboks.
Taking to social media platforms, many of his closest teammates shared some heartfelt words celebrating his special day.
Among those were Siya Kolisi and Eben Etzebeth. Their friendship has come a long way first became acquainted after representing Western Province and the Stormers.
“I love you my brother , hope you have a blessed day. Thank you for the person you are on and off the field. May God keep blessing you. You stand so tall in all you do, but just not by physical height,” he joked.

Meanwhile, Eben, who celebrates his 34th birthday a day after Cheslin, wrote:
“Happy birthday, my brother, it feels like we are already a package deal. Looking forward to many more memories together.”

The timing of the celebrations could not be any more perfect as it coincides with the second anniversary since winning the 2023 World Cup in France.
