Cheryl Zondi, one of the key witnesses and survivor from the controversial televangelist, pastor Timothy Omotoso’s alleged sexual harassment and assault was overwhelmed by emotions and gave in to tears when she heard that Timothy is acquitted of all his charges.

She said that she fears Timothy will continue abusing other girls because it is in his nature to do so. While speaking to the media after court, she revealed that after they testified about Timothy in court, their lives were not the same as there were lies and fabrications spread about them online and even while walking on the streets.

“So one has to wonder that this is what the last eight years of our lives has come down to? The main concern was not even knowing what he did to us, It’s knowing that he is not going to stop, he’s going to continue doing this to other women and other girls and that is what we wanted to stop and prevent; we wanted to say it ends with us and it’s not going to go any further but he’s not going to stop it’s in his nature.

“I feel like this is kind of enabling to him, I think things may only get worse from here, he’s definitely going to be more pompous. I believe that this is the act of God, and it’s not. I think we are all familiar with the fact that evil prevails in this world, and it’s really unfortunate,” said Cheryl.

X (formerly Twitter) user shared clips of Cheryl speaking to the media.

I was in high school, watching her, getting grilled by the defense, being asked very graphic details 😭😭😭 I remember watching her, speak for me and all girls who were violated yet couldn’t articulate what happened.

I feel so bad for Cheryl Zondi. I can’t even begin to describe how she feels right now. This sends a clear message that money and power can get you anything in this country, even at the expense of the many people that have suffered under your false leadership. #Omotoso https://t.co/g53lJSXSDT pic.twitter.com/fL1t9bWLkb
