Would it be fair to conclude that Chef Zanele won her husband’s heart through cooking delicious meals for him. It may be fair to allude to the fact that Chef Zanele is a true representation of the saying that goes “the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.”
Could the secret to every successful marriage be to ensure that your husband is kept well fed with heart and delicious recipes.
To further test out this theory, the South African award-winning chef has not gate kept any of her special recipes as she has a total of three cookbooks with mouthwatering recipes. The cookbooks don’t guarantee a successful 13 years of marriage but they most definitely do promise flavoursome dishes.
Even though the Chef barely shares any pictures of her husband, she has made mention on several occasions that her husband has aided towards her studies and always supported her passion of food which has resulted in her being the award-winning chef she is.
The cookbook author and mother of two has been married since 2010.
Taking to her Instagram, Zanele shared a beautiful picture of the van Zyl’s alongside one another. She accompanied the picture with a caption sharing what an experience 13 years of marriage has been.
She said, “It turns out sengihlale emzini yabantu for 13 years, iheeeee I’m sitting here thinking kahle kahle ngashada nondlebe zikhanya ilanga kusayicala elibovu ?.”
Sharing a further reflection she stated “Some days mese ekucasule kahle uvele ave mubi uzibuze ukuthi kodwa Jesu ngangingenwe yini?, some days he is just an angel straight from heaven. That is the beauty of life, we don’t expect perfect life.”
Zanele concluded her caption saying, “Happy anniversary sithandwa sami, baba wezingane zami! ❤️#ToBeDeleted?.”
