This week started on a busy note for the Kwa Zulu-Natal-based radio station, Gagasi FM as news sparked the internet that two of their radio hosts are leaving the station.

The news of the Gagasi FM presenter, Penny Ntuli leaving the show were announced by a local publication revealing that she did not want her job anymore, this led to her coming forward and explaining why she had to decline her contract renewal.

In a lengthy Instagram post shared by Penny, she detailed that she had been given a Sunday slot and was going to be paid less that R800 in each show, “When I calculated the amount it added up to R2800 per month.”

“I went back to my managers and asked them to revisit the contract as I felt like R2800 is not enough to sustain my needs and my family’s since they are also depended on me,” she added.

She stated that she then had to come to the decision of asking them to not renew her contract after she was told to try other things outside broadcasting.
