Celebrities often turn to crazy diets to make sure they always look their best for the red carpet. Some of them are weird, and others are just bizarre.

The Master Juice Diet

This diet was made famous by the bootylicious Beyoncé who had to lose some kilos for her Dreamgirls role of Deena Jones. The drink is made up of maple syrup, cayenne pepper and purified water. She drank it a few times a day for two weeks and lost about 9kg.

The Bleak Diet

To help her lose weight after giving birth to her twins, Mariah Carey created her own diet that made her shed 14kg in four months. All she ate was mostly fish and soup. The singer also did water aerobics with her personal trainer to achieve her slim body.

The Grapefruit Diet

Jennifer Lopez practically smelt her way to a sexy body. The ‘Jenny on the block singer’ would smell grapefruit oil for 15 minutes, three times a day, which reduced her appetite. The aroma is said to activate the liver enzymes and promote weight loss.

The Seven-Day Colour Diet

Songstress Christina Aguilera adopted a colour scheme diet that helped her lose extra kilos. She ate different coloured foods on different days: White foods on Monday, red on Tuesday, Wednesday was for green…Sunday was for all the rainbow colours.
