South African rapper Cassper Nyovest has proven just how serious he is about entering the new year with God.
This comes after a video emerged on social media that shows the ‘Good Times’ rapper along with many other believers getting baptized.

Since its circulation, the footage has been receiving mixed reactions from the members of the public. Some have mocked the rapper for being baptized in a swimming pool.

Despite some finding this sacred moment to be ridiculous, there have been others who saluted him for the bold step he has taken.

The influential 33-year-old has been open about his newfound relationship with God for a good couple of months leading up to the New Year. He first went public with a tweet in November last year writing.

Later he encouraged his followers to turn to scripture as a guideline to navigate to the journeys of life and even shared the gospel at some of his shows.
“Life can get hard, but life is never a burden. Life is beyond human understanding, but life is not confusing when you lean on the word of God,” he wrote.
He continued: “You are very smart, but you don’t know anything if you don’t know God. Jesus is the light, have a great day. Love.”
This earned him tons of respect from many people, some of whom might not even have been fans of the rapper before.
