Shortly after dropping hints, in an effort to prove his haters wrong, mzansi hop-hop legend Cassper Nyovest has revealed that his legendary ‘Fill Up’ series is headed to the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein this December.
Whether you’re a hip-hop head or not, Cassper Nyovest is a household name that you’ve probably heard countless times over the past decade. He has become one of the most impactful musicians to come out of the country, as his projects have topped the charts several years in a row.
Despite once having South African hip-hop in the palm of his hands, the ‘Kusho Bani‘ hit-maker’s legacy and hit-making skills have recently come into question. This stemmed from the controversy regarding whether his latest release of the song was a hit or not, as some fans labelled the song a bust. This then led to conversations regarding whether it was time to hang up his gloves and pass the baton to the next generation.
After becoming privy to the masses doubting his legendary status, he revealed plans to host yet another ‘Fill Up’ event, solely to spite his haters, and prove that his impact is still as legendary as it was five and ten years ago.
It appears the icon is staying true to his word, as he recently took to his social media to reveal that the series is headed to Bloemfontein, where he will be filling up the Free State Stadium.
“Bloemfontein! Home of Masele!! (yah le nou), Home of the Free State Cheetahs, Home of the 2nd Highest court in South Africa, Hosh Karamaima Capital (mare nna I’m married bathong), Centre of the FREE STATE!!! Bana ba ga Oumama!!! If the previous ‘Fill Up’ events are anything to go by, this is set to be one of the most exciting events to come out of 2025. This is significant, considering the number of international headliners, as well as major events that are set to take place this year.
