Cassper Nyovest and Nasty C on TheGreatDrive

by Silindokuhle Booi

Doc Shebeleza hitmaker Cassper Nyovest sat alongside songwriter and rapper Nasty C on Good Hope FM’s TheGreatDrive.

The two media personalities were brought in to the studio to discuss their projects – Solomon (by Cassper Nyovest) and I Love It Here (by Nasty C). Host Kyeezi was eager to know what the experience was like making their albums.

Kyeezi also revealed that he brought them together because their albums came out on the same day. He further explained that he took two different drives to listen to the albums.

“I planned two separate drives cause I believe I take music in best when I am driving. Two separate drives to make sure I listen, no skips, no shuffles, they are other versions of yourselves.”

Social media users loved seeing the two rappers together, they reacted:

“It’s so awesome for it to be this short?.”

“It was a dope interview ❤.”

“Best interview.”

As the two artists continued to open up about their albums and engaged more about the music genre and switch ups, Cassper said he would love to hear rapper Emtee on an Amapiano song.

“The thing is, I would love to hear Emtee on a [Ama]Piano cause I see music differently. I like to see what will happen if I put this here,” said Cassper.

He then proceeded to appreciate Emtee’s melodies and lyrics on We Up. Kyeezi agreed, saying he thinks it is possible, whilst Nasty C did not.

The media personalities have been seen a lot together this year as they have been touring for their African Throne tour which was announced in July.

Both artists shared the news of their tour on social media. Cassper captioned his post:

“@africanthrone Me & the Broski coming to a city/country near you and I’m mad excited. Drop your flags below and show us which country we gone be meeting you in.”
