Camilla Waldman remembers ex-husband, Jamie Bartlett on his death anniversary

It has been three years since the fan-favourite television villain, Jamie Bartlett, passed away.

The thespian who is renowned for a character he played on Rhythm City, David Genaro, passed away on May 23, 2022, at the age of 55, after suffering a cardiac arrest.

His ex wife, Camilla took to her Instagram page, to honour Jamie on his third year death anniversary. In a candid post, Camilla shared that Jamie is remembered as a son, brother, partner, cousin, friend and actor.

She recalled that one of the last books Jamie was reading was C S Lewis’ – Surprised by Joy. Referencing that she said: “In God’s book, endings are preludes to new beginnings. May you now, Jamie, be surprised by joy. You are missed,” she penned.

Instagram users and industry colleagues weighed in.

Actress, Masasa Mbangeni said: “Sending love, he’s so so missed.”

One user said: “I miss that voice and his charm and wit, that laugh, and always a warm hello when he saw me.”

While another one said: “I woke up early in the morning listening to David Genaro remix shout out to Reason, Yungswissglobal, speedsta, ginger trill for giving the legend the flowers whilst he was alive n honouring him eternally wise forever in our hearts King daddy dee “flipping psycho” Chana.”

Former Rhythm City actress, Pam Andrew who starred opposite Jamie also share a candid post on her Instagram page, remembering him.

“We will never forget you, Jamie Bartlett AKA David Genaro. Never will there be another like you. Love you,” she penned.
