Busiswa Gqulu sparks debate after fans compare her to Brenda Fassie

South African singer-songwriter Busiswa Gqulu has found herself at the centre of a social media debate after fans drew comparisons between her and the legendary Brenda Fassie.

The discussion was ignited by a video posted by X (formally Twitter) user Zickiie_S, in which Busiswa is seen dancing and partying at a club to her hit song “Bazoyenza.”

The video is captioned, “Someone said Busiswa looks like Brenda Fassie here,” prompting a flurry of reactions from fans and followers.

Busiswa is known for her energetic performances and distinctive voice and has carved a way for herself in the South African music scene.

Her rise to fame was marked by the release of the hit song “My Name Is,” which showcased her unique blend of house, kwaito and gqom. Over the years, she has built a reputation as a dynamic performer.
