Business and pleasure: Internet praises Julius Malema’s ability to find balance

by Sergio Miller

Julius Malema has earned himself quite a reputation for being a no-nonsense kind of politician who never shies away from standing up for what he believes is right. Over the years this has got him in a lot of trouble and has also resulted in him having several enemies in the political sphere.

However, in recent times, many have praised the charismatic leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) as someone who is quite gentle in real life. This is all thanks to his many Instagram posts, where followers are afforded the opportunity to see him engage with his loved ones, as both a husband and father, while he has also been given a thumbs up for his talented DJ skills.

Recently, the former ANC youth league leader has once again dabbled his toes in the musical arena, after social media posts began circulating showing him meeting up with renowned DJs Vetkuk and DJ Mahoota during an outing.

Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), many users praised the politician for his ability to balance his life when making the transition from being a leader, to simply being himself and doing the things he loves, which is swaying his hand on the decks.

In the video, a jolly Julius can be heard telling the DJs, “When I grew up, I wanted to be like you.”

Responding to the video shared by Musa Khawula, fans responded:

“Julius is a likeable guy. I’m here laughing with him.”

Another added: “I think, He must be a full time DJ, he looks happy around DJs.”

A comment third says: “I will always like these small snippets of Julius outside of work because hobbies are really what makes us whole outside of the suits and the faces we wear at work.”

Others were amazed to see how well he was doing given the recent setbacks he had been facing with leaders leaving the EFF.
