Since Netflix announced season three of the popular period drama, Bridgerton, the ‘Ton’ (aka TikTok) has been abuzz with theories and anticipation. Fuelling the talk, of course, are all the promotional drops that Netflix has shared.

From sneak peeks of everyone’s favourite enemies-to-lovers couple, Anthony and Kate, and the introduction of new characters – Bridgerton fans are reeling with excitement for what the latest season could bring.
With tension between Colin and Penelope rising (this season’s main focus), and all the going’s on in the Ton, fans are expecting an eventful third instalment of the franchise.

Before you read on, take a look at the season 3 trailer for an inclination of what to expect come May 16th when Part 1 airs:
As per the trailer, and Penelope’s transformation (which we’ve seen through promo drops), change is the theme of the season. Turning corners are to be expected, fuelling many fan theories based on the Bridgerton books by Julia Quinn, and hope for how the season will play out.
One TikTok creator, Flawlessmydears, has a reputation for talking about Bridgerton theories. The one theory, which I particularly enjoyed, is the theory that Colin will be rather jealous of Penelope forming new relationships with other suitors, most notably, Lord Debling.

Despite the intense tension we can expect, she also says that she doesn’t think Lord Debling and Penelope will have a falling out:

Another theory, which the trailer confirmed, is that perhaps there won’t be a diamond this season… but another, just as luminous jewel.
What this author knows to be true, is that this season is the most book-accurate and that Penelope’s glamorous transformation is not the only change that will set the Ton alight with talk. And, so now, we wait, until May 16th, when the new season arrives.
