Brenda Ngxoli cast as Brenda Fassie in ‘Vulindlela’ documentary

Multi-award-winning actress Brenda Ngxoli will embody the character of the late musical icon, Brenda ‘MaBrr’ Fassie, in a four-part documentary.

The talented thespian is renowned for her work on Home Affairs, The River and The Queen among others. She will now bring Brenda’s character to life once more narrating the story of her rise to fame, personal challenges, and ultimate redemption through her iconic album Vulindlela.

The documentary series that is set to air on SABC 1 on November 15, will share her troubles in the industry which led to her being written off,  and her triumphant rebirth following the release of her massively successful album Vulindlela. This documentary series will also feature interviews with colleagues, friends, family and industry insiders. It will also feature re-enactment scenes by some of Mzansi’s best actors.

The series will further feature Sphamandla Dhludhlu as producer and musician Chicco Twala, a main figure in Brenda’s career.
