South African actor Bonga Dlamini is gearing up for an exciting new chapter in his career, as he takes on the role of Dumisani Khumalo on Netflix’s upcoming TV show Blood Legacy.

Talking to DailySun, Bonga expressed his excitement over portraying Dumisani as an executive in a big company. This role gives him a change from the characters he’s typically known for, giving him a fresh challenge that he’s eager to embrace.

Speaking about his latest character with the publication, Bonga shared his enthusiasm for stepping into a different persona, “This character’s too formal and challenging, unlike the ones that I normally play. I play the role of a strict executive in a big company. That excites me; I love challenges.”

According to the YOMZANSI publication, Blood Legacy is set against the backdrop of KwaZulu-Natal’s sugarcane fields, it begins with the mysterious murder of the CEO of Spear Industries, triggering a fierce power struggle among his children. Khanyi Adesina (Xolile Tshabalala) returns to Durban to find her family’s multibillion-rand corporation in turmoil, with her siblings Mandla (Buyile Mdladla) and Siya Ndlovu (Mike Ndlangamandla) battling for control, reminiscent of HBO’s Succession.

The series features South Africa’s top talents, including the late Connie Chiume as the family matriarch, alongside Treasure Nkosi, Sello Maake Ka-Ncube, Pallance Dladla, Wiseman Zitha, and Unathi Mkhize.
