South African award-winning television presenter, radio and social media personality, Bonang Matheba is one of the top candidates in line to replace the American comedian and TV show host Steve Harvey, as the new host of Miss Universe pageant.

The Miss Universe organisation recently came under new ownership in Jakapong “Anne” Jakrajutatip and she has asked fans of the pageant to give suggestions as to who they want to be the new host.

According to the Citizen, there are major changes under way at the Miss Universe organisation and the changes have left a gaping hole for a charismatic host.

South African social media users are hoping Bonang will be the one chosen to fill that void.

Steve Harvey parted ways with the organisation after five consecutive years of hosting.

The new owner in question is Jakapong “Anne” Jakrajutatip, CEO and biggest shareholder of JKN Global Group Pcl (JKN) (JKN.BK) is a business tycoon and a celebrity in Thailand, starring in local versions of reality shows Project Runway and Shark Tank.

Many of Queen B’s fans took to social media to put her name forward, here is what they had to say:

Honestly it’s not just Bonangs presenting it’s a package. It’s her energy, her voice, her laugh, her vibe, her professionalism, her style last but not least her beauty @Bonang GOD is in control ? Miss Universe Host?
