Boity pays tribute to her granny after 1 year of her passing

Actress and rapper, Boitumelo Thulo, popularly known as Boity, recently paid a heart-warming tribute, remembering her grandmother, who was affectionately known as Lelo, a year after she passed on.

Boity has always made it to be known that her grandmother is one of her favourite people, and it was heart-wrenching to lose her.

In a candid post, the Whuz Dat rapper took to her Instagram page to share a series of her and her granny’s pictures, and said in a caption: “A whole year without you. I hope you’re the happiest you’ve ever been in Heaven, Lelo. You were always an angel on earth, now you get to fly high with your kind up where you belong. Till we meet again, my Queen,” she penned.

This soul-stringing post garnered attention from Instagram users and her industry colleagues, who sent heart-warming messages in the comment section.

One user said: “This just made me miss my mum, visiting home for Easter three months after her passing, and she is no longer here.”

While another user was admiring the beauty and wonderful genes of the Thulo ladies, and said: “I see this thing started from Gran, then Mom and then you! Nibahle (you are all beautiful).”

While actress Enhle Mbali said: “Love.”

Boity has been sharing candid posts about her grandmother ever since she passed away. She shared heavenly birthday wishes and expressed her feelings in some posts, and how much she misses her grandmother.

Boity is a renowned sangoma who showcased her acting prowess on Rockville and has shared a part of her life with mzansi on her reality show, Boity- Own Your Throne.
