Bogus doctor Matthew Lani allegedly homeless

From giving internet users medical advice to recommending weight loss pills to people. Content creator and fake doctor Matthew Lani’s lies have caught up with him as he lost everything.

TikTok content creator known as, ‘DR Matthew Lani’ a username he later claimed was a pseudo name after being caught lying about being a professional medical doctor has since left the scene to live a more low-key life.

According to news publication, IOL, Matthew gained massive online popularity for cosplaying a real doctor and claiming that he has different medical qualifications from various institutions revealed to be false after investigations were made.

Months after being caught, Matthew has since lost everything, adding that, he now stays in a homeless shelter with his mother.

Speaking to news publication, SundayWorld in July regarding his current situation, he said, “So, after losing my apartment, car, and everything else because of the Dr Matthew dilemma, I moved in with her in March,” adding, “On Thursday last week, my mother and I were notified by the police that we would be placed under arrest as the owner filed a new trespassing complaint.”

A statement posted by Gauteng Health said that they are not associated with the bogus doctor as he is not registered.
