Black Motion’s Mörda and Smol reunite to give Mzansi a hit song

The two masterminds behind the Black Motion brand are reportedly getting back together to give mzansi a taste of their sound in a new song set to drop soon.

The two members Bongani “Mörda” Mahosana and Thabo “Smol” Mabogwane had a huge fallout that saw Smol open a case of theft against his bandmate after it was alleged that he broke into their studios and took valuable music equipment.

Mörda went his separate way releasing a chart-topping album named after his daughter Asante who he shares with fellow musician, DJ Zinhle.

After Mörda’s departure, the Black Motion brand was joined by Kabelo “Problem Child” Koma, an artist loved and admired by many musicians.

The two band mates Mörda and Smol have been cooking up a storm in the studio in the form of a song called Takala Zwino set to drop on May 10th, featuring  Deejay Buckz and Afrika Roots.

Speaking to local publication SowetanLIVE about the significance of the song, Smol shared:

“Takala Zwino is about savouring the good times with good friends. That nothing else matters but the present moment with your inner people or bloodline. It means that through anything, we will make it… despite what we go through, my day one is still my day one.”

Commenting on how he teamed up with Mörda and the two musicians featured in the song, he shared:

“I was playing live [online] a couple of months ago sharing this new song; this sparked interest from Afrikan Roots, and Buckz said he too would like to hop on. Somehow our live session was shared on the Tsa ko Pitori Instagram page of us in the studio which Mörda saw… he then asked to join in the song. I saw no issue and I agreed mainly because I knew the joy it’d bring to people. Making beautiful music is the only way we can prove to people that things are okay between us. We want them to vibe with us like the good old times.”
