Content creator, Bheki Ndamase known for lifestyle, travel and fashion content recently sat down with BONA to converse about his daring move of quitting his permanent job in digital marketing for a full-time content creation and brand campaigns.

Hailing from the Eastern Cape, Bheki is known for ‘Walk with me to work’ series on TikTok where he documents his journey to work every morning and sometimes evenings. Recently he had a bittersweet moment with his followers, where he shared the finale of the series.

Speaking to BONA, the 28-year-old said: “For the longest time, I was chasing the corporate dream, thinking stability was the ultimate goal. But I realised I was sleepwalking through life, feeling like I’m not living my purpose. Last December I decided to break free and unleash my creativity,” he said.

Bheki revealed that he has six years of digital marketing experience under his belt, after those years he decided to take a deep breath and start creating content on his terms.

“Fast forward to today, I’m feeling so calm and relaxed. I’m getting ready for a whirlwind year ahead, finding my groove and perfecting my routine. I’ve rekindled my love for reading, I’m crushing it at the gym and I’m strategising like a boss to level up my content game. I’m calling it ‘FunEmployment’ because I’m having the time of my life figuring things out and living my best life,” he said.

When we asked him about his New Year’s resolutions, if he has any, he said: “You know what’s wild? This is the year I should be low-key obsessing over New Year’s resolutions and goal setting, but I have decided to take a chill pill and let the universe do its thing.”

He also cited that he lives by an analogy that he came up with: “I’m basically riding shotgun in an Uber Black, and God’s got the wheel, taking me on a scenic route to my happiest, most purposeful life- filled with good vibes, opportunities and all the things that make my heart skip a beat,” said Bheki.

Bheki also mentioned that he is a lifestyle content creator who is all about keeping it cool. He said he is a firm believer that even when life gets real, he finds a way to squeeze in some good vibes and create his own happiness.

This all-rounder entertainer is also famous among his followers for his popular Friday segment named FriBheki, where he shares a video of himself dancing on Fridays.
