In a heartwarming celebration of love and commitment, former Bafana Bafana striker who is currently with TS Galaxy, Bernard Parker, and his wife Wendy Cherry recently marked their 12th wedding anniversary.
Bernard shared a post on social media to mark this joyous day in their love journey. “Happy Anniversary to the most amazing wife in the world. You are my rock, my confidant, and my soulmate. Love you, babe.”
According to Kaya959, the couple exchanged vows on the 16th of June 2012 in Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal. The ceremony was attended by 170 guests.
Last year, Bernard suffered a serious injury during a match against Mamelodi Sundowns, resulting in surgery for a broken leg.
Since then, he has been on an inspiring journey to recovery with the support of his wife.
Bernard also authored the book titled “From A Shark To Destiny,” which he promoted during a book tour in celebration of Father’s Day. The book tells a story of how he used football to move his family from a shack to purchasing a proper home.
