South African music sensation, Belinda Davids, is set to perform Whitney Houston tribute shows later this year.

According to The South African, the singer is currently on an international tour in Europe, bringing the sweet and emotional sounds of Whitney Houston to the continent. Set to embark on a tour to New Zealand, the singer will return to South Africa in August, bringing the Greatest Love of All tour to Johannesburg.

The Greatest Love of All tour is set to take place at Joburg Theatre from 24th August to 10th September. There will be a total of 10 shows. Audiences can expect Belinda to perform some of Whitney’s greatest hits, such as I Will Always Love, I Wanna Dance with Somebody, How Will I Know and many more.

Tickets are reportedly still available on Webstickets, starting at R180.

Belinda Davids grew up in the coastal town of Port Elizabeth. Her musical family of seven children spent much of their time, singing gospel music. Growing up as a “coloured” girl in apartheid-ridden South Africa, Belinda turned to music as form of empowerment. Despite living in an environment devoid of any equality, she realised that she didn’t need much from the world around her, besides her god given singing talent.

From a young age, the singer claims that she always felt a connection to the late Whitney Houston. Belinda always knew that she wanted to perform Whitney’s songs. Living her dream, her career was taken her all over the world, serenading audiences with her strong voice and popular melodies.
