Babes Wodumo shares a heartfelt tribute to her late husband, Mampintsha

Singer, songwriter and choreographer, Bongekile Simelane popularly known as Babes Wodumo recently took to her socials to share a sorrowful message to her late husband and father of her son, Mandla Maphumulo who was popular as Mampintsha.

The late singer and former Big Nuz member, Mampintsha passed away on the 24th of December 2022 after he had stroke complications.

Recently, Babes Wodumo took to her Instagram page to share a screen recording of her chat with her late husband. The recording shows that Babes tried calling Mampintsha via WhatsApp twice before she recorded the tearful voice note.

Speaking in her home language; IsiZulu, the Umphabazo hitmaker said: “I want you to know one thing, I love you and I will always love you baby. I know you didn’t like it when I cry, I love you though. I know you won’t hear this voice note, but,” she said in the voice note.

Instagram users took to the comment section to weigh in on the post.

One user said, “Grief will make you look like you are losing your mind, one day you are ok, the next day you are fighting deep waves of emotions. We understand you, we get you.”

Another one said, “I hope you find healing sis and remember that the Lord says, ‘He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

Simphiwe ‘Simz’ Ngema who experienced this tragedy when she lost her husband, Dumi Masilela said, “Jehova, Ibanaye smakade (Lord be with her).”

Recently, Babes took to Instagram to wish the late Mampintsha a Happy Birthday. Captioning the post, “Happy Birthday myeni wami (my husband).”
