Babes Wodumo is reportedly working on new music

by Johana Mukandila

South African musician Bongekile Mildred Simelane, better known as Babes Wodumo, is reportedly in the studio working on new music.

The gqom queen posted on Instagram to let her followers know that she was in the studio and to prepare themselves as new music from gqom star is under way.

This follows the Wololo hitamker’s video on Thursday, 13 July, in which she is seated in her car as she freestyles to the beat she was playing.

In the clip, Babes Wodumo is seen singing where she seemingly takes jabs at all the unwanted publicity she gets. In her freestyle, she sings about how she would have rejected fame had she been warned of its cons.

Babes took the opportunity to react to reports which suggested that she is critically ill.

According to a recent report by siZulu newspaper Isolezwe the publication alleged that Babes is critically ill.

The publication reported that its sources revealed that Babes is in and out of hospital due to an undisclosed illness. Sources claimed that Babes is severely ill and alleged that  she suffers from shortness of breath.

Another source claimed that her husband Mampitsha’s death had taken its toll on her.
