Ayakha Ntunja to star on ‘Inimba’

Actress, Ayakha Ntunja will now join the star-studded cast of Inimba, an upcoming telenovela that will air on Mzansi Magic, taking over from Empini.

The Gqeberha-born actress is known for her portrayal of a high school learner, Amo on Youngins. This time, she is set to showcase her acting prowess in a drama series that promises to keep mzansi glued to their screens, as they will soon take the baton from Empini.

Exuding themes of love and sacrifice, Inimba follows the story of Zoleka Mabandla who had it all: a new family, a promising career, and a dream job offering she found difficult to refuse. Later, her husband, Hlathi forces her to choose between her ambition and their family, and Zoleka makes the ultimate sacrifice.

After 20 years, Zoleka who has now built her career and is a tech mogul comes back to claim her life, and the daughter that she lost, Qhawe; but she finds it hard to move from the past, as she learns that the past doesn’t let go that easily.

Ayakha will join a list of talented thespians that includes, Zenande Mfenyana, Lunathi Mampofu, Sisa Hewana, Siyabonga Shibe, Prince Grootbom, Nkanyiso Makhanya and Andrea Dondolo.

The new telenovela ‘Inimba’ is produced by The Milton Empire, the same production company behind Mzansi Magic’s drama series In The Dock.
