A’RISE Festival welcomes Blxckie

The A’RISE Festival is a series of an intersection of art, music and fashion sponsored by Heineken. Established in 1873, the festival aims to collaborate with young South Africans artists to showcase their talents.

The second season of the event is set to happen on the 17th of December at CABO Beach Club, Cape Town.

Taking to Instagram, A’RISE welcomed some of the artists that will be performing at the festival which included one of South Africa’s most loved songwriter and rapper, Sihle Sithole, popularly known by his stage name Blxckie or Somnyama.

They captioned their post:

“At the intersection of music, fashion and art, we welcome the undeniable @blxckie_ , @kay_faith_sa and @magleradoeboy to the A’RISE experience at Cabo beach club in Cape Town on the 17th of December 2023. Get your tickets now through the link in our bio! ?.”

The post also included the award-winning artist, Tokelo Moyakhe, better known as Maglera Doe Boy, and the Cape Town-based audio engineer and producer, Karien Barnard, also known as Kay Faith.

A’RISE joins forces with CULTISH – an undeniable South African breakthrough premium streetwear brand of choice – to get a capsule clothing collection. They have also shared that the look and feel of the A’RISE 2023 festival is shaped by Bushy Wopp, their guiding eye and creative director. Bushy is an internationally renowned illustrator, artist and muralist.
