Bathu has officially entered the international arena, opening its first store outside South Africa at Maerua Mall in Windhoek, Namibia, making it its 36th store to date.

This achievement marks a significant milestone for the proudly South African brand that is known for its signature sneakers and commitment to uplifting communities.

Taking to social media, Theo Baloyi, the creative genius and founder of the revolutionary brand shared that this move is about more than just an expansion, it’s also about generating long-term employment and improving the communities it serves. He further stated, “We’re dedicated to building a brand that Africans can proudly call their own,” emphasising the teamwork that went into the brand’s development.

Theo also never misses the opportunity to show gratitude to the team behind the brand’s success, stating, “This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support of our esteemed customers, the incredible Bathu team, and all our stakeholders. Together, we have transformed a vision into reality, and together, we will continue to rise.”

The 5x Entrepreneur of the Year Award winner has indeed been having a great year, as previously reported on BONA, just recently Bathu, a true trailblazer in the field has earned well-deserved awards such as Entrepreneur of the Year for the fifth year, Fastest Growing Sneaker Brand, Most Innovative Marketing Strategy, and Excellence in Brand Awareness.

With an emphasis on empowering and connecting people worldwide, Bathu’s entry into Namibia marks the start of its expansion into new markets and in Theo’s wise words, “No borders can hold back a determined entrepreneur, living out of a suitcase and chasing dreams.”
