With the public debate around Chidimma Onwe Adetshina’s citizenship discussed on social media, online users had more questions than answers after a recent interview conducted on The Ben Stesh Show, hosted by Ben Dlamini surfaced online.

After it was revealed that Chidimma was born in South Africa to a Nigerian father and a South African mother with Mozambican roots, most South Africans questioned how she was allowed to enter the pageant.

Speaking on the podcast, Chidimma’s father said that he met his wife in the UK and visited South Africa with a visitor’s visa before they had children, to watch the 2010 World Cup.
