DJ Melzi, born Tumelo Mphai, has officially refuted any familial ties to Nomsa Masuku, the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) commissioner currently embroiled in fraud allegations.
The rising amapiano star faced a wave of speculation regarding his connection to Masuku following the circulation of a photo where he posed beside a luxurious Mercedes-Benz SUV.

Nomsa was arrested and charged with fraud.
In a report, IOL said that Nomsa had been accused of pocketing R1.2 million meant for underprivileged learners.
She appeared in the Johannesburg Specialised Commercial Crimes Court sitting in Palm Ridge on three charges of fraud, theft, and money laundering.
Nomsa was released on R20 000 bail and will appear in court again on September 4.
Meanwhile, Melzi is reportedly dating South African actress Lethabo Mekoa. She is known for her on-screen role in the local drama series Skeem Saam. The loved-up pair have been spotted on social media streets.
