“God saved me” – This was how former Muvhango actress Tebogo Thobejane summed up one of the most traumatic experiences she recently encountered.

According to multiple reports by Sunday World as well as IOL, the talented actress and a friend fell victim to an armed attack by a group of unknown gunmen at 23h00 on Tuesday evening.

“She was traveling in her BMW and was seated at the back with a friend,” a close friend of the actress revealed to Briefly. “Another friend was driving behind them in her car. The attackers overtook the friend’s vehicle, got in between the two cars, and opened fire at Tegbogo’s vehicle from behind.”

Meanwhile, the actress managed to escape unharmed, however, a friend who was accompanying her sustained some injuries.

The two were later admitted to Fourways Hospital and received treatments for shock shortly after the incident.

According to reports by Sunday World, it was further revealed that one of her friends who sustained injuries is not okay and is currently in a very bad state while Tebogo is still traumatized.

“It did not look like it was a robbery or an attempted hijacking. I have my suspicions- it looked like a hit,” Tebogo said in an interview with Zimoja.

The star has been open about her safety woes for quite a while now. A few months ago, in an interview with Sunday World, she highlighted that her life was in danger and was planning to relocate for the safety of her family.

In a recent Instagram story, she shared multiple messages of support from fans and loved ones as well as a video showing that she is okay, with the caption “God saved me.”
