Actor Abdul Khoza joins the cast for season 3 of Netflix’s Kings Of Joburg

by Samantha Mochele

In a new development for fans of the hit Netflix series ‘Kings Of Joburg’, acclaimed South African actor Abdul Khoza is rumoured to be the latest addition to the show’s upcoming third season.

The actor is known for his compelling roles in dramas like Mzansi Magic’s ‘Isibaya’ and ‘The Wife’.

According to TimesLive, the production sources said Abdul has seamlessly integrated into the storyline and works well with the cast, showcasing his versatility in portraying complex characters.

“He is blending well with the storyline, and other cast members, plus he is versatile when it comes to switching to venac. His character can be confused with a white-collar criminal,” revealed one source close to the production.

When contacted for comment by the publication, He remained discreet about his role, stating, “Give me time. I need to speak to my bosses, as I’m not allowed to talk about anything regarding the show.”

The producers are switching things up this season, with popular actor Clint Brink also reportedly joining the show. Clint’s involvement is expected to add further excitement and anticipation among fans.

The South African states that Connie Ferguson confirmed on Instagram that filming for the third season of ‘Kings of Joburg’ has begun. She shared a message from Netflix announcing the start of production. ‘Kings of Joburg’ was created by Connie’s late husband, Shona Ferguson, who starred as Simon Masire in the first season.

The show was later dedicated to Shona after his passing from Covid-19 in July 2021. Connie expressed her initial hesitation about continuing the project without Shona, citing his passion for the series and her concern about having the strength to proceed.
