The third season of Abandoned Mzansi has returned to our screens, delivering a deeply emotional journey that tugs at the heartstrings. This compelling show unearths the powerful and often heart-wrenching stories of individuals who have been abandoned

As the docu-series returns, it brings with it fresh stories of hope and the triumph of the human spirit. Each episode shines a light on the journeys of individuals who’ve faced abandonment, adversity, and hardship, offering an emotional and raw look at their lives.

Abandoned Mzansi continues to examine the often-overlooked lives of people, allowing viewers to relate to their hardships, victories, and everything in between.

According to the Mzansi Magic website, the streaming platform is “Rekindling the hope of reconciliation and reunion with a new season of the docu-reality series, Abandoned. Premiering on DStv Channel 161, Tuesday 9 January 2024 at 20:00, viewers will witness compelling stories of families striving for wholeness against the odds.”

The above website also adds that every episode, which is hosted by the kind Phumeza “MaTshezi” Shoba, transports viewers to a profoundly emotional journey where kids look for their long-lost parents in hopes of potentially life-altering reunions. The program guides viewers through the delicate process of healing under Phumeza’s direction, providing an opportunity for forgiveness and the re-establishment of familial ties.

Every story, which combines the knowledge of researchers and private investigators with the combined efforts of the South African Police Service and the Department of Home Affairs, is a blend of complicated feelings, social pressures, and the desire for a second opportunity, the platform further adds.
