‘A man doesn’t say sorry,’ says the Dlamuka wives giving Thando advice on marriage

The latest episode of  MojaLove’s reality show Isencane Lengane left many viewers shocked after realising that the women in the Dlamuka household had similar views about what being a good wife entails.

According to the four women who married the late church leader Bab’u Dlamuka, a wife is never supposed to leave her home no matter how badly she is treated by her husband.

That’s not all, they also advised Thando, who is married to their husband’s son Siyacela to never ask for an apology, as men are not supposed to apologise to women.

This was said after Siyacela’s car was burnt beyond recognition on his way back home from fetching his wife Thando who had gone to her family after their argument.

While narrating what transpired before she packed her bags and headed home to her four mother-in-laws, Siyacela angrily told Thando to keep her mouth shut.

Refusing to be told what to do, Thando asked why she had to keep quiet as she was still telling her mothers what went on.

The women quickly jumped in telling Thando to keep quiet and listen to Siyacela as he is a man.

Strangely, this is not how one of the family men, uncle Kunene sees things, as he disagrees with the Dlamuka wives on the notion that women are supposed to endure abuse and never leave their households no matter what.

After the episode aired, viewers took time to express their anger on social media platforms, commenting:

These wives are abusing Thando ngeke, Thando akagoduke ngeke #IsencaneLengane

Siyacela will never be a better man because everyone around him is an enabler. They make excuses for him, and he never has to be accountable for his actions.#IsencaneLengane
