One of the most exciting award shows in the country is almost upon us and the excitement is through the roof as the nominees for the South African Music Awards (SAMA) have been announced during an exciting nominations event at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand.

When it comes to the SAMA awards, the expectations are always high, and the nominations event was no different. The who’s who in the industry gathered together for the revelation of this year’s nominees. Of course, our favourites did it in style as there were stunning looks served to match the immaculate vibe.

Hosted by the dazzling LootLove, the event provided a glimpse of what the main event would look like, and ‘exhilarating’ is one of the best ways to describe the atmosphere. Event organisers revealed that this year’s theme is ‘Less noise, More Music’.

Attendees were treated to amazing performances from the likes of the legendary Zola 7, Lamies Holworthy, Abafana bakaMgqumeni and a stellar closing performance by Khuli Chana.

The yellow carpet also did not disappoint as our celebrities came dressed in their ‘Sunday’s best’ to finally find out whether they made the cut or not. Some artists were in attendance to support their fellow musicians, as the music space is a collaborative and empowering one. Overall, the event was a great way to get people excited about the main event coming up this November.
