Musician Murdah Bongz celebrated his 36th birthday in an all-black-themed party.

The musician hosted his friends and family at the event on Friday. The event was packed full of Mzansi’s celebs.

Taking to Instagram, Murdah Bongz, whose real name is Bongani Mohosana, his wife DJ Zinhle and some of the guests shared photos from the event.

The former Black Motion member wrote a note to himself which read:

“Ok ok ok Mörda, we did it bra, we here, we have so much to be thankful for and so much to cry over but today we need to sit in a corner and say a small prayer, we have to thank God for protecting us through everything, for blessing us with a beautiful family and career, for giving us strength when we are so tired we can’t even stand to play with our kids. Life is good bra, make sure you don’t mess it up, don’t change for anyone. We are Mörda we play hard and love harder. We are not to be messed with because we are protected by the Almighty. Let the world know we are here now and forever. Happy birthday brother, it’s on you now. – Bongani.”
