The announcement has garnered a mixed reaction, with many users revealing their concern for the overwhelming attention South Africa is currently receiving from the international community, particularly the United States. Some users have expressed the need for people like 50 Cent need to invest more into the country’s economy besides selling alcohol.

Furthermore, other users expressed the need for South Africans to gatekeep our country from the people and organisations that are here for exploitative reasons.

we’re not gatekeeping our country enough for my liking https://t.co/05PTZYEr93
