In a world that keeps moving towards the Western ways of doing things and the Western idea of beauty, it is refreshing to see media personalities who are comfortable in their own short natural hair.

People cut and keep their hair short for different reasons, for some the reasons are that, when the hair is short, it is easily manageable and affordable. For others keeping their hair short is statement and proof that a person can look fabulous in any hairstyle as long as they wear it with confidence.

Following is a list of five Mzansi personalities who slay short natural hair:

1. Zozibini Tunzi

The 2019 Miss Universe showed the whole world that hair does not define a person. Among many pageants hopefuls who had long hair and weaves, the fierce Zozi shone like the star she is, bringing back the crown home. She will forever be an icon and proof that beauty standards are beyond how a person’s hair looks. Zozi has continued to rock her short hair sometimes adding braids to it.
