Back- to-back World Cup winning captain Siya Kolisi lead our boys to a jaw clenching 12-11 world cup win against three times winners New Zealand famously known as All Blacks.

While South Africans united in celebration of our boys who continue to paint our rainbow colours brighter, lifting our beautiful country high on a global scale, the springboks players also celebrated their win on their social media.

Our captain who last posted on his social media platforms five weeks before the Springboks win on Saturday October, 28th,  shared his first post after the win capturing it:

“2019 – 2023 Same God.”

Both Siya and his wife Rachel are proud christians who often share a lot of content on their christian values sometimes accompanied by quotes from the bible scripture.

In one post dated 8 weeks ago, the Gqeberha born captain shared a picture of his springbok Rugby shirt with a bible opened at Romans chapter 8 and captioned it:

“Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

Seeing the new post after the Springboks win, social media users and media personalities commented on the captain’s post adding:

“It is heartwarming to see a child of God in a position of power, influence and authority lifting the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior so proudly. May He (God) who called you for His purpose and set you apart for His Glory continue to bless you, your family and all those around you in Jesus Name . Well Done to the entire Boks Team ??.”

Former Miss SA teen and media personality Zizo Tshwete commented:

“SAME GOD!!!! Same faithful, Father!!!! We are so proud of you and the team @siyakolisi ??????????.”

History maker DJ Black Coffee who recently became the first South African to fill New York’s Madison Square Garden to full capacity commented:

“Congratulations to you and your team Captain, you’ve made the nation proud…be proud ??❤️.”
