WATCH: Local stars shut down the Internet at Black Panther Premiere

by Bridgette Matjuda

Black Panther made history during it’s debut weekend. It not only united cultures across the globe but also broke records. According to Marvel’s parent company, Disney, Black Panter took the crown for the highest movie debut ever for a February film, with an estimated three-day domestic gross of $192 million!

The movie has received stellar reviews from critics and audiences alike and according to Disney, the opening was the fifth highest-earning of any film. Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Jurassic World and The Avengers are the only other movies to make more millions.
