Tributes pour in following Thami Shobede's death

Former Idols South Africa contestant and musician, Thami Shobede has died at the age of 31. According to Sowetan, the star died this morning at Kalafong Hospital in Pretoria.

Gallo Records general manager confirmed the news to the newspaper. He said in part: “Gallo Record Company is extremely saddened and shocked to learn of the sudden passing of one of our artists Simphiwe Thamsanqa Shobede, fondly know as Thami.”

Since the news of Thami’s death, messages of condolences have been pouring out on social media.
