Award-winning singer, songwriter, guitarist, record producer, and actor Ed Sheeran will be kicking off his South African leg of his ‘Divide World Tour’ at the FNB Stadium this weekend. This would be his first-ever tour in South Africa.
Shekhinah set to open for Ed Sheeran’s SA tour
Ed Sheeran announced that Shekhinah, award-winning singer and hitmaker of ‘Suited’ will be joining him as support along with English singer-songwriter, Passenger. Shekhinah will take to the stage on all the ‘Divide World Tour’ dates.

Shekhinah released her platinum-certified album ‘Rose Gold’ in 2017. Ever since the release of her album she has claimed 6 SAMA nominations, winning 3 for ‘album of the year’ and ‘best newcomer 2018’. She has also been nominated for an MTV EMA for ‘best African act’. Not only has she been announced as one of the highest streamed acts in South Africa, she has also been named on ‘Forbes 30 under 30’.
