Man Crush Monday – Nicholas Nkuna

by Boitumelo Mmakou

Once you read A Victorious Truth with Nicholas Nkuna article here, you will know that he is all about success and making it big in the industry. We couldn’t help but have him our MCM; not just because of his amazing body, great skin and phenomenal talent, but because of his humble soul and friendly personality. He tells us more about himself.

Let’s talk about Skeem Saam. How different is your character from the others?

I play the mature guy named Sakhile. He is a mentor and old brother figure who gives guidance to the younger guys. Because he is a professor, the students look to him for advice.

Speaking of advice, what is the best you have ever received?

I was told to keep going and to never give up on my dreams. Ever since, I stay focused on what I want and work hard to improve myself so I can reach my ultimate goal. IMG_0741

What advice would you give young people who take your Skeem Saam character to heart and also see you as their role model?

Be the best you can be – don’t forget who you are for the sake of fitting in or getting a job. As a young person, it’s easy to get lost in the moment, making it hard to find what you are good at. Trust yourself.

You are in shape and always look your best. What is your secret?

I eat well, drink a lot of water and maintain my body by going to the gym regularly. I always have to make sure I dress well and find my inspiration from doing research or looking at what my style icons, including Kanye West, are wearing. IMG_4199

Apart from acting, what is your other focus?

I am working on my music, including the single Grace – a neo-soul song that is a sample of my upcoming album, available for download.
