Written entirely by Sheen, the book chronicles his childhood on film sets with Martin Sheen, teen adventures making home movies with the Penn brothers, and the pressures of early fame.
Sheen revisits his marriages, including his high-profile union with Denise Richards, with whom he shares two daughters, offering insight into family life lived under the relentless glare of public scrutiny. He reflects on his HIV diagnosis, turbulent relationships, and years of addiction, all with the humour and candour fans have come to expect.
“One thing I can guarantee: you will not be bored reading this,” Sheen wrote on Instagram. “It’s been a helluva ride, and I’m honoured to finally share the journey in my own words even the naughty ones.”

Perhaps most striking is Sheen’s acknowledgment of his own survival. “I should not be alive to tell these stories,” he admits, a sobering reminder of the precariousness of life in the fast lane. Now, nearly eight years sober, Sheen says the timing is right to reveal the truths behind the headlines.
