Celebs On Fatherhood

by Boitumelo Mmakou

With Father’s Day around the corner, we had to make time to catch up with some celeb dads to chat about fatherhood. They share their experiences with us:

Sthembiso Khoza

SK-2 I was not able to speak to my parents about everything, and they could not be there for me in the way I would have loved. I don’t want that barrier with my children. If anything, I want them to know that they can talk to me about anything, I want to be their dad, mentor and friend.

Siyabonga Radebe

Siya---PhakamaniBecoming a father has made me more patient. Being so close and attached to a little human being has made me come to the understanding that there is a superior power. Being a parent also made me appreciate and understand my parents, more importantly my father who has been a great example.

ProVerb

Proverb-tebogoBefore becoming a father, I wish I knew that there was no formula. I have had to trust my instincts and learn as I go. There is something fulfilling in living life as it comes.

Slikour

Slikour-Metani I think fatherhood is based on actions of humanity by being present and showing acts of kindness, care and protection for your child. As a father, you make the best version of you in the next generation. You need to be present in your child’s life.

Thapelo Mokoena

thapelo I wish I knew that fatherhood is really amazing. Before becoming a father, I wasn’t aware of what surrounded me and was nervous about the life I’d bring on this earth. But once the baby was born, everything falls into place.
