The relationship between mom and daughter is often the most precious and important in both women’s lives.

Media personality Boity and her mom Modiehi Thulo served us serious mom and daughter relationship goals at a dinner celebrating Mother’s Day, and the queens in our lives. Not only are they both gorgeous, the two ladies share a similar sense of humour, style and love for fine dining.

In partnership with well – known chocolate brand Cadbury SA, Boity hosted the perfect dinner for her mom which included a three – course meal with chocolate paired inspired dishes.

The dinner took place at Café Del Sol Botanico in Bryanston, Johannesburg, and guests had the opportunity to interact with the restaurant’s Head Chef Johnathan Duiker who served up a delicious culinary experience.

The event was well attended by Boity’s friends and we couldn’t help but gush over her BFF Khanya Mkangisa who doted over her own mom the entire evening.

The highlight of the evening was the challenge for Boity and her guests to design their own dessert using a couple of Cadbury GLOW inspired cakes that had been prepared by Chef Johnathan.

Despite a concerted effort, unfortunately neither Boity or her mom won the challenge.

Boity’s mom was thrilled by the experience and told BONA how proud she is of her daughter.

“My daughter has respect for people and I am proud of her humility,” she said. “We have an open relationship and we talk about everything. We also have each other’s backs because it’s just the two of us.”

Modiehi said the night reminded her of Boity as a child.

“She was always singing for us and drawing pictures. I actually thought she would become an artist.”

It was definitely an evening to remember!
