BMW Polo Fashion Hits And Misses

by Ayanda Ngcobo

It was a day of fun in the sun at the BMW Polo event. Here’s our take on who galloped to the finish line and who felt short of the winning prize.

AKA and DA Les

Aka-and-Da-Les

This outfit looks very similar to something we have spotted AKA in from a previous event so we are giving him a thumbs down for lack of effort. Lesley on the other hand is working his neutrals in a simple yet striking grey and white ensemble.

Roxy Burger, Refilwe Modiselle, Khanyi Mbau and Dineo Moeketsi

Dineo,-Khanyi,-Roxy-and-Refilwe-

One word describes this foursome – Heavenly

We love Roxy’s Perspex clutch. Fashion Fashion Fashion!!!

Khanyi and Dineo wowed in white, the mesh detail is so on trend right now and they showed us how to give it a fierce touch.

Refilwe kept it safe in a cobalt blue dress. We would’ve stuck to one gold statement piece as the chunky necklace and chunky belt proved to be a bit overwhelming on the eye.

Kabomo

Kabomo-

Kabomo was cool and calm in shades of blue.

Khanyi Mbau and Tebogo Lerole

Khanyi-and-Tebogo-

Tebogo’s jacket reminds us of the liquorish all-sorts man… not something we would like to see again.

Maps Maponyane

Maps-Maponyane-

We really do expect more from Maps. We think he has enough of a fashion background to give us more than this. C’mon Maps.

Nandi Mngoma

Nandi’s dress could’ve done without the extra piece of fabric. Teal looks stunning on her and definitely complimented her complexion. Maybe something a little bit shorter would’ve been great, seeing that it is spring.

Pearl Thusi

Pearl-Thusi-

Confusion was the only word that sprung to mind when we saw this outfit. Pearl is always someone who makes our best dressed list, but this time around, she fell off the mark. We need to give her props for the shoes though… HAUT

Penny Lebyane

Penny-Lebyane-and-friend

Penny looks like she was going to the Oriental Plaza. We aren’t sure about that geisha inspired umbrella but we think it could have gone a miss. The clutch was the star of that whole outfit.
