Super producer Babyface is set to host a virtual Waiting To Exhale soundtrack special for Mother’s Day. The star announced the news on the American talk show, The View. This comes on the heels of the massive success of his music face-off with fellow producer and musician, Teddy Riley.
Babyface wrote and produced the 16-soundtrack which features iconic musicians such as Aretha Franklin, Brandy, Chaka Khan, Whitney Houston, Mary J. Blige, Toni Braxton, and Patti LaBelle. During the interview, he shared that he will break down each song and the artists behind them.
Speaking on the special he said in part; “There were so many people on the Instagram Live who wanted to hear music from the Waiting to Exhale [soundtrack] so I thought this would be great, Mother’s Day, to play the Waiting to Exhale album, tell stories, tell how it all happened and talk about the artists. Because that was half the fun of it all in doing the Instagram Live was being able to tell stories. People were so interested in that. So I thought it would be fun to do as well.”
Babyface’s Waiting To Exhale Special for Mother’s Day will take place on 10 May 2020.
