5 minutes with Bridget Masinga

by Bongiwe Tshiqi

Actress and model Bridget Masinga chats to us about her move to KayaFM.

By: Fundiswa Nkwanyana

1.We know you as a TV and radio presenter, actress and model, but how would you describe yourself?

I am a proud black woman who was born and bred in Durban. I am enjoying the space that I am in as I have the freedom to explore and create new experiences. I want to show young girls that they can be whoever they want to be, because I have helped pave the way for them.

What do you love at the moment?

I love life – it’s such a precious gift, and I am grateful for each day. I am excited that spring is finally here, because winter was cold. I also love travelling and exploring local and foreign lands; there is so much to see.

Good morning from Port Elizabeth, hoping to meet a beauty worthy of being crowned @official_misssa 2017 and taking the R1 million cash prize. #MissSAJudge #MissSouthAfrica Beat: She.Me.Her?

What can your fans and listeners expect from your show?

I bring my zest for life and plenty of laughs. I will anchor a lifestyle show that will explore modern creative arts in a proudly African context. I have been given a blank canvas and I’m looking forward to creating great content, as well as interacting with the listeners.

As we head towards the festive season, what are you looking forward to?

This year has gone by so fast! I am looking forward to exploring my new show and getting to know KayaFM listeners. I’m also looking forward to relaxing over the festive holidays.

Catch Bridget’s show from Monday to Wednesday from 9pm to 11pm, and Sundays from 10pm to 12am.
